Weekend Hangout

Heya fellas.

So, I got the chance to talk with Andrew Morgan of PPU this weekend while he was DJing and he confirmed a few things for me.  Number one, Washington DC is not the best city for records although there are a couple of great stores.  Number Two, he's a cool guy who runs the label in his free time.  This was great to hear, because he's put out so much cool stuff (4-7 releases a year) and does it all with a full time job and a little DJing here and there.  It gave me hope that I can take something I love to do and make it work as a part time gig, while having another job, a family, and DJing.

The records he played were dope too.  Here's one of the records he reissued from my home state of Oklahoma:

Peace to you all.

  1. Actually...I got so excited for the track, I forgot - that's really dope! I'm glad you got to hang with him for a bit, and it's definitely good news to hear that livin' the dream IS possible. I'm sure you'll find a way. I can tell it's been on your mind a lot, the last few years. So I'm glad there are people there to look to as examples.

I only wish I had those kinds of questions, sometimes. I'm working with what to do in the first place....
