The inaugural post

And here, I am honored to say, is a fine bloggeth. One that may rise to glory and fame. Or, perhaps, personal fulfillment will be the end. In any case, on with my post I must be getting.

I didn't know how to choose the first tracks. They are, really, what I've been grooving to for the moment. But, the moment has been weeks for some, and today for others.
In order that I discovered them:
Promised Land is a dope classic house track by Joe Smooth, and one of my favs in the "uplifting", possibly gospel-y house vein. It's maybe a little hokey, but I'm a sucker for the cheese sometimes. Also, I really like what the Style Council did, and then how the Drop Out Orchestra dubbed it out and rearranged things. They're really dope, in my opinion, for discoey house stuff at the moment.

The William DeVaughn was on a Mix I heard a while back by Grant Phabao and Djouls, called Cosmic Tropical Disco, which I suggest. It's a dope disco mix of this classic track. The mix is by Onur Engin, by the way. I don't know if that shows up. Not much else to say, it just grooves. Great bassline.

The Shafiq Husayn "Major Heavy" track I heard on this Thundercat mix that Flying Lotus put together to showcase his buddy's dope bass behaviors. This track is just so...organically mixed and it's also a dope groove.

The other four tracks I culled from blogs I follow within the last day.
I bought a .wav of the Body Language track, cos Tiger and Woods are just so sick, and I wanted to have a good copy of that.
The Britney remix is what it says - also Oliver is one of my fav. producing groups at the moment. Also check "I Need You," which is a free download on their soundcloud. I love Britney, no lies.
The Wagon Cookin' is a dope boogie-ish track I found on TTL. Don't know much else...It sounded like Oliver, though.
And then we come to the Stevie Nicks remix. It's just sooo dope. A great summer house jam. I need to listen more to it, but the first few listens had me hooked. There are great sound selections, which I'm all about.

Hope you guys got on the blog and dropbox ok. Let me know if you have any troubles. I look forward to hearing what you've been grooving to!
